thank GOD for NOT answering my prayers

On Christmas Eve, I was down with a terrible sore throat and went to see a doctor in the morning. I had been working long hours and really needed a good afternoon nap but somehow I just couldn't sleep a wink!

So I prayed. Minutes passed. An hour passed. And I was still awake! So I decided to get up and do something instead of wasting time! Then I saw my wife working very hard to clean the whole house to prepare for our family Christmas gathering. I quickly helped her and we completed the tasks in a short while. I was tired but real thankful I didn't nap - that night, I slept like a baby...

I ordered my new car in November and it was due for delivery in January. But somehow, my friend who ordered the same car later than me got it first in mid January while there was no news about my car except that the shipment was delayed! I was really frustrated, so I complained to the agent and prayed too.

Finally, it was confirmed to be delivered last week of January. So I put up my old car for sale via an online auction and I received a very good price because the COE (Certificate of Entitlement) just went up! In hindsight, I realised that I didn't really need the car that early and was thus thankful that the delay resulted in me getting about S$5,000 more!

It has been a long while since I last binge-watched any series because I really need my beauty sleep but I gave it all up for " The Chosen ": Rated a super impressive 100% by RottenTomatoes and 9.7 by IMDb , this unique crowdfunded TV series has 158 million views to date (and still increasing every second!). What I love about it is its ability to bring stories and characters in the Gospels to life in a way that is not preachy yet relates to us personally, reaching the very depths of the human heart; you cannot watch The Chosen without being transformed internally! Known as the second most important book in the world after the Bible, St Faustina 's Diary has allowed us intimate glimpses of the very heart of Jesus who wanted very much to bestow his mercy to us all but sadly, many of us are simply not aware or not interested.
